John Fossum originally planned to teach college literature courses for his vocation, but life unexpectedly led him to a career in the Church Education System. He has taught in a variety of contexts throughout his time as a religious educator, including institute classes for young single adults and religion classes for adults, though he currently teaches seminary full-time. John also cohosted the popular show Talk of Him. He is married to Sarah Packer, whom he credits for many of his deepest insights into the gospel. They live in Pleasant Grove, Utah, and have five children. John loves to travel with his wife, and he enjoys eating anything chocolate.
